Sports Exclusive: Lisicki given Wimbledon wild card


WIMBLEDON, England- Former Wimbledon quarterfinalist Sabine Lisicki is one of four players to receive entries for this year's grass-court grand slam after a new batch of wild cards were handed out.

The 21-year-old German, who reached the last eight at the All England Club in 2009, is scheduled to face Daniela Hantuchova in the final of the Aegon Classic in Birmingham on Sunday.

The other additional wild-card entry for the women's draw at Wimbledon is Greece's Eleni Daniilidou, who beat Justine Henin in the first round of the tournament in 2005.

Israel's Dudi Sela, who made the fourth round of Wimbledon in 2009, and former junior No. 1 Gilles Muller of Luxembourg were handed wild cards in the men's draw.

Wimbledon begins on June 20.
